Floating ferrite jacket
Absorbs high frequency noise signal components outside the audio band. When measured using high frequency measurement equipment, Audio 40 products convey a comparably cleaner and tighter signal pattern when its special Zn/Mn ferrite jacket is present.
Unique Tri-conductor Technology
QEDs unique Tri-Conductor technology uses a third Silver plated 99.999% OFC conductor which is integrally twisted alongside the similarly constructed signal pair to carry the ground return currents. This reduces signal to ground capacitance to vanishingly low levels affording the cable improved common mode rejection of mains hum pickup over ordinary "hot cold and screen" cables. ETI Kryo XLR Connectors
Het connectorhuis is gefreesd uit een stuk Tellurium koper (IACS95) en vervolgens verzilverd. Het dielectric (isolatiemateriaal) in het connectorhuis is gemaakt van Teflon: een hittebestendig materiaal dat solderen met hoge temperaturen mogelijk maakt. Teflon wordt, na of in combinatie met lucht, door gaans beoordeeld als het meest hoogwaardig en klankneutraal dielectric. Alle contactpennen van zowel de male als female XLR zijn uit een stuk gefreesd. Na vervaardiging worden de Tellurium koper onderdelen gereinigd en vervolgens verzilverd. De zilverlaag (circa10 micron) wordt direct op het Tellurium koper aangebracht. De connector wordt vervolgens cryogeen behandeld. ETI Kryo XLR Connectors
The connector body is milled from a single piece of Tellurium copper (IACS95) and then silver-plated. The dielectric (insulation material) in the connector body is made of Teflon: a heat-resistant material that allows high-temperature soldering. Teflon, after or in combination with air, is rated by gaans as the highest-quality and tone-neutral dielectric. All contact pins of both the male and female XLR are milled from one piece. After manufacture, the Tellurium copper components are cleaned and then silver-plated. The silver layer (≥10 microns) is applied directly to the Tellurium copper. The connector is then cryogenically treated. To prevent inward and outward radiation (EMI/RFI), the connector is mounted in a brass housing. The housing features a channel indicator (white and red) and, where necessary, also serves as a strain relief by means of two screws. ETI XLR connectors give an extreme sound improvement over standard XLR connectors. Typically, XLR female contact pins are spring-loaded and produced under high tolerance nickel (IACS16) pins. Nickel is one of the only conductive metals and above all an inferior product in terms of sound. The contact pins in all ETI Kryo connectors are milled within minimum tolerances to standards from Tellurium copper (IACS95). The signal connections of the Kryo XLR connector should be soldered. Cables up to 14 mm. in diameter can be fitted without any problems.',

It’s engineering is the same as our Fusion pure silver interconnect with the only difference being is that it utilizes all pure copper strands. The construction consists of a twisted pair of fine strand/ tight pitch PCOCC stranded cores insulated in FEP/Tef dielectric, which are then insulted in PTFE wrap followed by a mylar shield. A 24-carrier tight pitch braid for 100% protection then follows the mylar from outside interference. Following this we jacketed the cable in 105C degree RoHS certified PVC jacket and an anti-static terephthalate(PET) monofilament sleeve.

Volledige (100 %) afscherming geschiedt door middel van een gevlochten verzilverd koper (HP-OFC) mantel en aluminium opgedampte Mylar folie. Het geheel wordt gewikkeld in papier om verkleving met de soft PVC binnenmantel en de vuilafstotende PVC buitenmantel te voorkomen. De toepassing van een Soft PVC binnenmantel is om microfonie te voorkomen. De totale diameter inclusief buitenmantel is 11,5 mm.

Symmetrical cable with 2 solid UP-OCC silver conductors (99.99999 %) The conductors are composed of 1 solid UP-OCC monocrystal silver conductor of 0.332 mm2 (AWG22) in red and blue PE (polyethene) insulation and are separated by 5 air-filled PE tubes and wrapped in Teflon. Full (100 %) shielding is by means of a braided silver-plated copper (HP-OFC) jacket and aluminium evaporated Mylar foil. The whole is wrapped in paper to prevent adhesion to the Soft PVC inner sheath and the dirt-repellent PVC outer sheath. The use of a Soft PVC inner jacket is to prevent microphonics. The total diameter including outer jacket is 11.5 mm.',
