The M3scd has been designed to give outstanding CD reproduction and to be a digital hub.
In addition to CD it has 3 digital inputs: coax, optical and asynchronous USB. This makes it particularly useful for set top boxes and/or TV sound improvement. The technical performance is excellent; it has very low distortion, extremely low jitter, excellent signal-to-noise ratio, extremely flat frequency response, exemplary linearity and excellent channel separation.
All in all the M3scd gives excellent CD replay and can act as a versatile digital hub at the same time.

'description_nl' => 'Nieuw ontwikkeld VRDS mechanisme
Trillingsvrij Rigid Disc-Clamping Systeem (VRDS)

'description_en' => 'Newly-developed VRDS mechanism
Starting with a drive we developed that has a long record of use in broadcast applications, we added VRDS technologies, which are part of our TEAC legacy.
Vibration-Free Rigid Disc-Clamping System (VRDS)
This TEAC-original CD drive mechanism reduces rotation vibration of the disc itself as well as unwanted mechanism vibration by clamping the CD to an aluminum turntable with the same diameter and maximizing inertial mass in order to stabilize rotation. Servo current is reduced with the turntable by correcting disc warping and distortion and improving the relative optical axis precision of the pickup and disc pit side. This realizes reduced disc reading errors and outstanding audio quality.
Bridge section supports the VRDS
For the bridge that supports the turntable, we carefully selected lightweight materials that are very rigid and do not transmit vibration. By naturally settling vibrations quickly, we have realized a wide, dynamic sound. The bridge, which has a torus structure made of resin, is only fixed on one side, and propagation of vibration from the CD mechanism to the opposite side through the bridge is suppressed, so the entire mechanism minimizes unwanted sympathetic vibrations.
Semi-floating mounting
The entire CD mechanism is mounted on the sub-chassis in a semi-floating state. By controlling the transmission of vibrations between the CD mechanism and the chassis, the impact of sympathetic vibrations is abated, and natural playback sound is realized throughout the frequency range. By isolating motor vibrations from the main chassis, sympathetic vibrations within the chassis are prevented. At the same time, the CD mechanism is also isolated from external vibrations. Reading precision is also increased by isolating the CD mechanism from external vibrations.
Enhanced digital output
By eliminating the DAC function, the internal circuitry has been optimized for digital output. We have pursued higher audio quality by, for example, using larger components that did not fit in more limited space.
MQA CDs can be played back using the built-in MQA core decoder
The VRDS-701T has a built-in MQA core decoder and can digitally output MQA CDs at 88.2 kHz . Moreover, when used together with a DAC that has an MQA rendering function, playback using MQA full decoding is also possible.
10MHz external clock input
The 10MHz clock input allows synchronization with an external clock. In addition to improving audio quality during playback with the VRDS-701T, this also enables synchronization of the entire system with a clock generator.
Power supply enhanced using 2 high-capacity toroidal core transformers
Independent high-capacity toroidal core transformers are dedicated to the digital control section and the CD mechanism. These 2 high-capacity toroidal core transformers enable current to be supplied with greater stability.
Thorough design for vibration control
Power transformers, which tend to generate vibration, are mounted on a floating structure, separating and isolating them from the bottom panel. The side fins for heat dissipation have been tailored so that each one has a different length in order to eliminate sympathetic vibrations.
Three supporting pinpoint feet made of machined steel with a unique structure
The circuit board attachment screws have been kept to a minimum. Furthermore, steel pinpoint feet that use an original TEAC design with a new structure to provide a suitable amount of play in the connection between them and the bottom panel, are employed to thoroughly control vibrations that could affect audio quality.
Control connectors enable coordinated use with other devices
RS-232C is present for integration with popular control systems, and trigger input and output connectors enable power coordination with other devices.',

STAND-BY

Compact Discs may be a 20th century legacy format, but most people still have a perfectly good collection of CDs that, if not used, will be collecting dust, or sent to landfill. Your CD music is wholly owned and not borrowed from the cloud. So, why not exploit what is yours?
SIZE
The diminutive 4040 CD’s case, with its extruded aluminium front panel, matches the 4040 A integrated amplifier. Technical advances and circuit miniaturisation over the last 40 years no longer need heavy casework and power supplies to extract digital music accurately from CD.
CONTROL
The 4040 CD’s intuitive user interface and sophisticated menu system are easily navigated by remote control or discreet front panel push buttons.
DIGITAL OUTPUTS
The 4040 CD offers three types of digital outputs for the discerning audiophile, including transformer-isolated SPDIF (via coaxial RCA), professional balanced AES-EBU (via XLR), and optical TOSLINK.
DAC
The 4040 CD provides a useful built-in DAC for convenient stand-alone analogue audio output, via a pair of RCA sockets. However, to ensure the highest quality audio reproduction, it is recommended to connect to the 4040 A by SPDIF coaxial or optical digital output, to leverage the amplifier’s excellent ES9018K2M ESS Sabre32 Reference DAC.
POWER SUPPLY
The key to the 4040 CD transport / CD Player’s impressive performance and small size is found in its efficient and rock-steady external DC power supply. The multi-region power supply adapter provides a solid 12V DC voltage to feed the 4040 CD’s internal voltage stabilisers that power every part of the circuitry.
STANDBY
Audio signal sensing enables the 4040 CD to reduce power consumption by powering down non-essential circuitry, when not required, to less than 0.5W. Timeout can be adjusted in the menu.
CD QUALITY
Properly recorded and well-maintained CDs can still provide resolution equal to most streamed music. The Compact Disc’s native 16 bit 44.1kHz format is adequate for most music replay and is not compressed. By comparison, most streamed music undergoes some form of compression to shrink its file size, with consequent losses. As a bonus, CDs provide a positive tactile experience and provide artist and title notes.

We are proud to unveil the X-Tube – a revolutionary tube output buffer built on our newly designed X-Profile aluminium die-cast chassis. This innovative design marks the return of the X-Profile configuration, a distinctive element in the revered Musical Fidelity X10D tube output buffer and promises to breathe new life into a wide range of future audio electronics products.
Read Heinz Lichtenegger’s Keynotes on the X-Tube here.
From X10D to X-Tube
The X10D, as designed by Musical Fidelity founder Antony Michaelson, is an acronym, or if you prefer ‘a play on words’ for eX-(10)ten-(D)ded. translation =Extended.
The internal circuit design follows faithfully the original and like it, the new X-Tube extends your signal chain and is connected between the input source and the amplifier. It serves as an intermediate stage and is designed to improve the quality of the audio signal and add tube-like tonal characteristics to your line sources. Connectivity is simple, with 1x RCA input and 1x RCA output, as well as an RCA bypass. The old external power supply has been reworked and moved into the enclosure itself, making for a cleaner setup than before.
Benefits of a tube output buffer and its impact on sound.
Tube preamps or tube output buffers hold a special place in the hearts of many audiophiles, offering a distinctive sonic signature that is appreciated by many audio enthusiasts. The warmer, more natural sound, improved dynamics and potentially reduced listening fatigue contribute to a unique and engaging listening experience.
The X-Tube in today's audio world
What is the place of the X-Tube in today's audio world? We are currently seeing a rise in a new generation of affordable streaming devices and DACs. Even CD players are gaining interest as people hold on to their old collections. These modern digital audio devices have great prices, but they do so at the expense of hardware. Software makes up the majority of their costs and there is no budget allocated to, among other things, good output stages. Instead, cheaper integrated IC solutions are used that do not have the power to properly drive line inputs in many amplifiers.
The X-Tube has a clean, high impedance tube input, which means that it will not put as much strain on the output drive capabilities of connected source devices. Normal line inputs on most amplifiers are usually more demanding and cheap output stages will struggle. On the output side, the X-Tube's clean, low impedance tube output buffer has plenty of drive and will have no trouble with a low or high impedance amplifier input.
The X-Tube is designed to be the reliable core of your system, improving modern streamers and keeping pace with the rapid development of digital technology.
While streamers excel in software and deliver great digital-to-analog conversion with the latest DAC technology, they often fall short when it comes to the potential of analog output. And when the analog drive is missing, the X-Tube is the perfect complement.

High-end Made in Germany is not only seen as an all too often unaffordable luxury, but also as an attainable possibility of authentic music reproduction and fascinating music experience – Trigon has put a clear exclamation mark behind this goal with the new EXXACT line to mark the company’s 20th anniversary.
The technical design of the EXXACT CD is focused on the best possible solution for all critical sound parameters. Starting at the beginning without compromise: The excellent Stream Unlimited pure audio slot-in drive, the 24-bit DAC with 192 kHz sampling rate, and a correspondingly sophisticated output stage form a finely tuned ensemble of excellent components. To ensure they can realize their sonic potential, they are optimally powered by a stable switching power supply combined with the standard Trigon Volt pure copper power cable.
The timelessly elegant, clear design in six-millimeter-thick aluminum and textured-painted or Nextel-coated steel reflects the quality of the interior. Optimized for resonance, it works in conjunction with the second-generation vibration-absorbing Trigon device feet to protect the sensitive audio electronics from sound-damaging electromechanical influences. The dimmable and switchable LED display provides information about all operating states and functions, which can also be easily controlled using the all-aluminum Director system remote control.
Exxact CD takes musical precision and gives you an authentic musical experience.

Overview
The Unico CD Uno is a high-specification DAC with integrated CD mechanism that is flexible and customizable. The CD Uno combines Unison Research high-end sound quality with the broad playback possibilities offered by todays digital audio solutions. The CD Uno will allow you to play back all the music formats and sampling rates currently available on the market.
The Unico CD Uno boasts a wide variety of inputs and outputs. On the back-panel there are inputs for USB and Toslink TM cables, and built inside the housing is a Bluetooth receiver that allows for wireless streaming from compatible devices.
The audio stage uses one ECC82 double triode, operating in pure class A, followed by a solid state discrete buffer still operating in class A for a low impedance output and ideal audio behavior. Aesthetically the CD Uno, like the CD Due, differs from existing Unico products with its new three- fold faceplate, white LEDs and white display. This same aesthetic will pass over to the new Unico 90 and Unico 150 amplifiers, which are designed to be perfect matches for the CD Uno and CD Due.

'description_en' => 'The CG-10M is a master clock generator that delivers an extremely accurate clock signal, allowing digital-to-analogue converters (DACs) to perform at their best.It is a well-known fact among audiophiles that the clock signal is the basis for all digital signal processing.Digital signals such as PCM, for example, are extremely finely divided into tens of thousands of parts per second along the time axis. If that basic time axis fluctuates during the process of D/A conversion, it is much harder to reproduce an analogue audio waveform that is identical to the original. This is all the more true for DSD audio signals operating at MHz speeds on the time axis. For this reason, the most accurate clock signal possible is very important for reconstruction of digital audio signals, especially Hi-Res files, which use ultra-high sampling frequencies, such as DSD 22.5 MHz or PCM 768 kHz.
Therefore, at the heart of the master clock generator is a crystal oscillator, in a temperature-controlled cabinet called the "oven", which guarantees the ideal temperature for crystal oscillation and therefore ensures the best and most stable performance. This oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO, abbreviated in English) generates a highly accurate 10 MHz clock signal that is within 3 ppb (parts per billion) of frequency temperature characteristics and is within 0.1 ppm (parts per million) of frequency precision.
The elegant analogue meter on the front panel gives a visual indication of the status of the internal crystal oscillator at all times.
