Overzicht
Drie versterkers symboliseren het succes van Unison Research: de Simply Two, de Triode 20 en de legendarische Absolute. Ter gelegenheid van het 25-jarig bestaan van Unison Research brengen we een eerbetoon aan deze historische apparaten door de Simply Two en de Absolute aan te bieden in een gelimiteerde en genummerde "Anniversary" editie. We hebben ook besloten om een compleet nieuwe versie van de Triode 20 aan te bieden en hebben deze, heel toepasselijk, de Triode 25 genoemd.
De nieuwe Triode-versterker 25 heeft een lange en nauwgezette ontwerp- en testperiode achter de rug, ondanks de aanzienlijke ervaring die al was opgedaan bij de bouw van zijn voorganger, de Triode 20. De Triode 25 kan in twee standen werken. De Triode 25 kan in twee modi werken: triode en pentode. Deze laatste is in staat om een maximaal vermogen van meer dan 45 watt per kanaal te leveren bij een belasting van 6 ohm, waarbij de harmonische vervorming over de hele audioband uiterst beperkt blijft.

Overview
Three amplifiers symbolize the success of Unison Research: the Simply Two, the Triode 20 and the legendary Absolute. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the birth of Unison Research, we pay homage to these historic devices by offering the Simply Two and the Absolute in a limited and numbered “Anniversary” edition. We’ve also decided to offer a completely new version of the Triode 20 and named it, quite appropriately, the Triode 25.
The new Triode amplifier 25 has experienced a long and painstaking design and testing period despite the considerable experience already gained in the construction of its predecessor, the Triode 20. The Triode 25 can operate in two modes: triode and pentode. The latter is capable of delivering a maximum power output of over 45 watts per channel with a load of 6 ohms with harmonic distortion extremely contained across the entire audio band.

Klasse A hybride buizenversterker met stroomdumping
De 100+ W eindversterker is voorzien van een buizengebaseerde gebalanceerde differentiele ingangstrap en differentiele feedbackpaden, gevolgd door een klasse A eindtrap met stroomdumping. Hierbij controleert een klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting, terwijl een klasse AB versterker met hoog vermogen de zwaardere belastingsstroom levert. Deze unieke topologie met stroomdumping zorgt ervoor dat de ultra-lineaire klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting controleert met het brute 'kracht' van de klasse AB versterker. Deze klasse AB versterker isoleert de 'gevoelige' klasse A versterker effectief van de 'complexe' luidsprekerbelastingsstromen. De topologie zorgt ervoor dat er geen overgang is tussen de klasse A en AB bedrijfsmodi, wat resulteert in superieure klasse A audioprestaties en een klasse A signaallineariteit, gecombineerd met een lager klasse AB vermogensverlies.

De eindversterker is voorzien van differentiele feedback, waardoor het audio-uitgangssignaal op zowel de positieve als de negatieve luidsprekeraansluitingen wordt gedetecteerd voor maximale lineariteit. De buizeningangstrap is niet alleen gekozen vanwege de klassieke voordelen van buizengeluid, maar ook omdat buizen het minst gevoelig zijn voor externe RF interferentie, ongewenste RF-energie kan leiden tot intermodulatie-artefacten die doorgaans worden geassocieerd met een 'hard en helder geluid'. Current Dumping Class A Tube Hybrid Power Amplifier
The 100+ W Power amplifier features a tube-based balanced differential input stage and differential feedback paths followed by a Class A Current Dumping output stage where a low-power Class A amplifier is always in control of the speaker load with a high-power class AB stage providing the heaver load current. This unique Current Dumping topology ensures that the low-power ultra linear Class A stage is always in control of the speaker load with the brute 'force' power provided by the Class AB stage this Class AB stage effectively isolates the 'delicate' Class A stage from the 'complex' speaker load currents. The topology ensures that there is no transition between class A and AB operating modes, resulting in the benefits of superior Class A audio performance and Class A signal linearity with the benefits of lower Class AB power dissipation.

The power amplifier features differential feedback, thereby sensing the Audio Output signal on both the positive and negative speaker terminals for maximum linearity. The Tube input stage has been chosen not just for the classic benefits of tube sound but also as tubes offer the least sensitivity to external RF interference unwanted RF energy can result in intermodulation artifacts that are typically associated with a 'hard and bright sound'. Overzicht

De nieuwe Triode-versterker 25 heeft een lange en nauwgezette ontwerp- en testperiode achter de rug, ondanks de aanzienlijke ervaring die al was opgedaan bij de bouw van zijn voorganger, de Triode 20. De Triode 25 kan in twee standen werken. De Triode 25 kan in twee modi werken: triode en pentode. Deze laatste is in staat om een maximaal vermogen van meer dan 45 watt per kanaal te leveren bij een belasting van 6 ohm, waarbij de harmonische vervorming over de hele audioband uiterst beperkt blijft.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the birth of Unison Research, we pay homage to these historic devices by offering the Simply Two and the Absolute in a limited and numbered “Anniversary” edition. We’ve also decided to offer a completely new version of the Triode 20 and named it, quite appropriately, the Triode 25.
The new Triode amplifier 25 has experienced a long and painstaking design and testing period despite the considerable experience already gained in the construction of its predecessor, the Triode 20. The Triode 25 can operate in two modes: triode and pentode. The latter is capable of delivering a maximum power output of over 45 watts per channel with a load of 6 ohms with harmonic distortion extremely contained across the entire audio band.

Het elektronische circuit van de Unico Due is volledig opnieuw ontworpen. The electronic circuitry of the Unico Due has been completely redesigned. While maintaining the qualities that made the Unico range such a legend in the audio industry, key improvements have been made that are nothing short of ground-breaking. Firstly, the power supply circuits have been enhanced thanks to a substantial increase in filter capacitance size and to a new high quality shielded and encapsulated power transformer. The new power distribution system of the audio power output stage combines space optimization and superior circuit solutions.

Klasse A hybride buizenversterker met stroomdumping
De 100+ W eindversterker is voorzien van een buizengebaseerde gebalanceerde differentiele ingangstrap en differentiele feedbackpaden, gevolgd door een klasse A eindtrap met stroomdumping. Hierbij controleert een klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting, terwijl een klasse AB versterker met hoog vermogen de zwaardere belastingsstroom levert. Deze unieke topologie met stroomdumping zorgt ervoor dat de ultra-lineaire klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting controleert met het brute 'kracht' van de klasse AB versterker. Deze klasse AB versterker isoleert de 'gevoelige' klasse A versterker effectief van de 'complexe' luidsprekerbelastingsstromen. De topologie zorgt ervoor dat er geen overgang is tussen de klasse A en AB bedrijfsmodi, wat resulteert in superieure klasse A audioprestaties en een klasse A signaallineariteit, gecombineerd met een lager klasse AB vermogensverlies.

De eindversterker is voorzien van differentiele feedback, waardoor het audio-uitgangssignaal op zowel de positieve als de negatieve luidsprekeraansluitingen wordt gedetecteerd voor maximale lineariteit. De buizeningangstrap is niet alleen gekozen vanwege de klassieke voordelen van buizengeluid, maar ook omdat buizen het minst gevoelig zijn voor externe RF interferentie, ongewenste RF-energie kan leiden tot intermodulatie-artefacten die doorgaans worden geassocieerd met een 'hard en helder geluid'. Current Dumping Class A Tube Hybrid Power Amplifier
The 100+ W Power amplifier features a tube-based balanced differential input stage and differential feedback paths followed by a Class A Current Dumping output stage where a low-power Class A amplifier is always in control of the speaker load with a high-power class AB stage providing the heaver load current. This unique Current Dumping topology ensures that the low-power ultra linear Class A stage is always in control of the speaker load with the brute 'force' power provided by the Class AB stage this Class AB stage effectively isolates the 'delicate' Class A stage from the 'complex' speaker load currents. The topology ensures that there is no transition between class A and AB operating modes, resulting in the benefits of superior Class A audio performance and Class A signal linearity with the benefits of lower Class AB power dissipation.

The power amplifier features differential feedback, thereby sensing the Audio Output signal on both the positive and negative speaker terminals for maximum linearity. The Tube input stage has been chosen not just for the classic benefits of tube sound but also as tubes offer the least sensitivity to external RF interference unwanted RF energy can result in intermodulation artifacts that are typically associated with a 'hard and bright sound'. Overzicht
Drie versterkers symboliseren het succes van Unison Research: de Simply Two, de Triode 20 en de legendarische Absolute. Ter gelegenheid van het 25-jarig bestaan van Unison Research brengen we een eerbetoon aan deze historische apparaten door de Simply Two en de Absolute aan te bieden in een gelimiteerde en genummerde "Anniversary" editie. De nieuwe Triode-versterker 25 heeft een lange en nauwgezette ontwerp- en testperiode achter de rug, ondanks de aanzienlijke ervaring die al was opgedaan bij de bouw van zijn voorganger, de Triode 20. De Triode 25 kan in twee standen werken. De Triode 25 kan in twee modi werken: triode en pentode. Deze laatste is in staat om een maximaal vermogen van meer dan 45 watt per kanaal te leveren bij een belasting van 6 ohm, waarbij de harmonische vervorming over de hele audioband uiterst beperkt blijft.

Three amplifiers symbolize the success of Unison Research: the Simply Two, the Triode 20 and the legendary Absolute. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the birth of Unison Research, we pay homage to these historic devices by offering the Simply Two and the Absolute in a limited and numbered “Anniversary” edition. We’ve also decided to offer a completely new version of the Triode 20 and named it, quite appropriately, the Triode 25.
The new Triode amplifier 25 has experienced a long and painstaking design and testing period despite the considerable experience already gained in the construction of its predecessor, the Triode 20. The Triode 25 can operate in two modes: triode and pentode. The latter is capable of delivering a maximum power output of over 45 watts per channel with a load of 6 ohms with harmonic distortion extremely contained across the entire audio band.

Klasse A hybride buizenversterker met stroomdumping
De 100+ W eindversterker is voorzien van een buizengebaseerde gebalanceerde differentiele ingangstrap en differentiele feedbackpaden, gevolgd door een klasse A eindtrap met stroomdumping. Hierbij controleert een klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting, terwijl een klasse AB versterker met hoog vermogen de zwaardere belastingsstroom levert. Deze unieke topologie met stroomdumping zorgt ervoor dat de ultra-lineaire klasse A versterker met laag vermogen altijd de luidsprekerbelasting controleert met het brute 'kracht' van de klasse AB versterker. Deze klasse AB versterker isoleert de 'gevoelige' klasse A versterker effectief van de 'complexe' luidsprekerbelastingsstromen. De topologie zorgt ervoor dat er geen overgang is tussen de klasse A en AB bedrijfsmodi, wat resulteert in superieure klasse A audioprestaties en een klasse A signaallineariteit, gecombineerd met een lager klasse AB vermogensverlies.

De eindversterker is voorzien van differentiele feedback, waardoor het audio-uitgangssignaal op zowel de positieve als de negatieve luidsprekeraansluitingen wordt gedetecteerd voor maximale lineariteit. De buizeningangstrap is niet alleen gekozen vanwege de klassieke voordelen van buizengeluid, maar ook omdat buizen het minst gevoelig zijn voor externe RF interferentie, ongewenste RF-energie kan leiden tot intermodulatie-artefacten die doorgaans worden geassocieerd met een 'hard en helder geluid'. De buizeningangstrap van de versterker wordt volledig differentieel aangestuurd vanuit de analoge of digitale signaalpaden en resulteert in typische vervormingswaarden van 0,0002% bij 1 W / 1 kHz met een signaal-ruisverhouding van meer dan 16 bits bij slechts 1 W.

Current Dumping Class A Tube Hybrid Power Amplifier
The 100+ W Power amplifier features a tube-based balanced differential input stage and differential feedback paths followed by a Class A Current Dumping output stage where a low-power Class A amplifier is always in control of the speaker load with a high-power class AB stage providing the heaver load current. This unique Current Dumping topology ensures that the low-power ultra linear Class A stage is always in control of the speaker load with the brute 'force' power provided by the Class AB stage this Class AB stage effectively isolates the 'delicate' Class A stage from the 'complex' speaker load currents. The topology ensures that there is no transition between class A and AB operating modes, resulting in the benefits of superior Class A audio performance and Class A signal linearity with the benefits of lower Class AB power dissipation.

The power amplifier features differential feedback, thereby sensing the Audio Output signal on both the positive and negative speaker terminals for maximum linearity. The Tube input stage has been chosen not just for the classic benefits of tube sound but also as tubes offer the least sensitivity to external RF interference unwanted RF energy can result in intermodulation artifacts that are typically associated with a 'hard and bright sound'. The Tube input stage of the amplifier is driven fully differentially from the analog or Digital signal paths and results in typical distortion figures of 0.0002 % at 1 W / 1 kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio at just 1 W of greater than 16-bit resolution.
