Zoals alle toestellen worden de Hyperion P1 en Virtus M1 door Canor Audio zelf ontwikkeld en geproduceerd. De Hyperion P1 is een klasse A voorversterker met een minimale hoeveelheid negatieve terugkoppeling. Hij heeft een symmetrische precisie volumeregeling, die zich in een aluminium behuizing met een wanddikte van tien millimeter bevindt. Deze constructie biedt volgens de ontwerpers een perfecte afscherming tegen HF-straling en trillingen, vanwege de hoge massa. Zowel de volumeregeling als de printplaten zijn geinstalleerd op trillingsdempende pads, hetgeen helpt om trillingen te elimineren. Het analoge gedeelte is gescheiden van de voeding door een stevige, tien millimeter dikke aluminium wand om interferentie te elimineren.

Het kloppende hart van de Frankie hybride voorversterker, de lijnversterker, bestaat uit een 4x 6DJ8 dubbele triode geconfigureerd als een SRPP gebalanceerd circuit met een actief gecascadeerd mosfet current sink.
Het circuit, met nul gemiddelde terugkoppeling, profiteert van 4 afzonderlijke en geregelde voedingen met discrete componenten.

De volumeregelaar is wederom de "gouden trap", de verzwakker die ze zelf hebben ontwikkeld en die in al hun producten wordt gebruikt.
Deze verzwakker, die bestaat uit vaste weerstanden die worden geschakeld door relais, heeft een precisie en kwaliteit die superieur is aan gewone analoge of digitale potmeters.
In de Frankie hybride voorversterker werkt deze verzwakker in "shunt mode".

De phono-ingang is een solid-state schakeling die geschikt is voor zowel MM- als MC-cartridges en beschikt over een discrete FET-ingang met ultralage ruis, een volledig passief RIAA-netwerk en een gebalanceerde uitgang.

De dipswitches op het achterpaneel bieden een breed scala aan capaciteits- en weerstandsinstellingen voor de cartridge-interface.
Uiteraard heeft de phonokaart een eigen voeding.

De voorversterker kan tegelijkertijd worden bediend via iOS & Android App of via infrarood afstandsbediening.

The circuit, with zero averall feedback, benefits of 4 separate and regulated power supplies with discrete components.

The volume control is once again our “golden stairway”, the attenuator developed in house and used in all our products.
This attenuator, made up of fixed resistors switched by relays, has a precision and quality superior to common analogue or digital potentiometers.
In Frankie hybrid preamplifier, this attenuator works in “shunt mode”.

Phono input is a solid state circuit suitable for both MM and MC cartridges, it benefits from an ultra-low noise discrete FET input, a fully passive RIAA network and a balanced output.

The dip switches on the rear panel offer a wide range of capacitance and resistance adjustments for the cartridge interface.
Obviously the phono board has its own dedicated power supply.

The preamplifier can be controlled both via iOS & Android App or via infrared remote control at the same time.

De circuits van de Musicbook SOURCE II zijn ontworpen rondom het hoogwaardige streamingplatform en verfijnd voor een optimale geluidskwaliteit.

In de digitaal-analoog converter van de Musicbook SOURCE gebruiken we een van de best klinkende converterelementen aller tijden, de AK4493 van de Japanse digitale specialist AKM. Deze converter blinkt metrologisch uit door extreem lage vervormingscijfers en muzikaal door natuurlijke klankkleuren, een perfecte timing en een totaal ontspannen tempo. De converterblokken werken in mono mode, d.w.z. elk kanaal heeft zijn eigen D/A converter. Maar er is meer! Voorafgaand aan de eigenlijke conversie worden alle digitale ingangssignalen onderworpen aan een ultraprecieze hersampling door middel van een MEMS femto-clock. De aldus gegenereerde gegevens zijn absoluut jittervrij: de basisvoorwaarde voor perfect geluid met digitale muziek! Een extra verbetering biedt de mogelijkheid om alle gegevens om te zetten in een 1-bit signaal (DSD).

Vanuit muzikaal oogpunt is deze modus de kers op de taart en opent een totaal nieuwe geluidsdimensie op het gebied van ruimtebeeld en weergave van hoge frequenties.

De analoge voorversterker van de SOURCE II maakt gebruik van een puur analoge volumeniveauregeling. Analoge bronnen worden verwerkt in het analoge domein. De ingebouwde phono MM-voorversterker biedt een uitzonderlijk muzikale weergave en is qua constructie identiek aan de zeer gewaardeerde Limetree Phono. De hoofdtelefoonversterker van de Musicbook brengt je ook geluid op zijn best en heeft ruim voldoende uitgangsvermogen, zelfs voor veeleisende hoofdtelefoons.

De voeding van de Musicbook zet nieuwe maatstaven voor een storings- en ruisvrije prestatie. The circuitry of the Musicbook SOURCE II has been designed around the high-performance streaming platform and fine-tuned for optimum sound quality.

In the digital-analog converter of the Musicbook SOURCE we use one of the best-sounding converter elements of all times, the AK4493 from the Japanese digital specialist AKM. This converter excels metrologically by extremely low distortion figures and musically by natural timbres, a perfect timing and a totally relaxed pace. The converter blocks are run in mono mode, i.e. each channel has its own D/A converter. But there is more! Prior to the actual conversion, all digital input signals are submitted to an ultra-precise re-sampling by means of an MEMS femto-clock. The thus generated data are absolutely jitter-free: the basic prerequisite for perfect sound with digital music! An additional improvement offers the possibility to convert all data into a 1-bit signal (DSD).

From a musical point of view, this mode of operation is the icing on the cake and opens up a totally new sound dimension in terms of room imaging and high-frequency reproduction.

The analog preamp of the SOURCE II uses a purely analog volume level control. Analog sources are processed on the analog domain. The built-in phono MM preamp offers an exceptionally musical reproduction and is identical in construction to the highly appreciated Limetree Phono. The headphone amplifier of the Musicbook also brings you sound at its finest and has plenty of output power even for demanding headphones.

The power supply of the Musicbook sets new benchmarks for an interference- and noise-free performance. All functional areas are equipped with proprietary, ultra low-noise voltage regulators with less than 10 microvolt of noise voltage. Therefore a mutual influence between the Musicbook’s individual elements can be ruled out.

Ontwerp

De eerste trap, gebaseerd op een paar ECC83/12AX7 Gold Lion buizen, bepaalt het sonische karakter van de versterker en zorgt voor een uitstekende signaalzuiverheid, extreem lage vervorming en een uitzonderlijk stille werking.

De daaropvolgende solid-state trappen werken in perfecte synergie met het buizengedeelte en garanderen een vloeiende, precieze en consistent muzikale reproductie, zelfs onder veeleisende luisteromstandigheden.

Aansluitmogelijkheden
Unico PRE v2 is ontworpen voor maximale veelzijdigheid. Hij beschikt over RCA-, XLR-, digitale en een phono-ingang, waardoor eenvoudige integratie in elk audiosysteem mogelijk is, van traditionele tot geavanceerde configuraties.

Naast de XLR-uitgang zijn er twee RCA-uitgangen voor bi-amping, een ongefilterde subwooferuitgang en Line In/Line Out-aansluitingen, ideaal voor het integreren van externe audioprocessors of opnamesystemen. Het apparaat beschikt ook over een 3,5 mm trigger-uitgang voor het synchroon inschakelen van eindversterkers en andere aangesloten apparaten, wat de dagelijkse bediening van het systeem vereenvoudigt.

DAC-sectie
De geïntegreerde DAC, gebaseerd op de Sabre ES9018K2M-converter, is het resultaat van een lang en zorgvuldig ontwikkelingsproces. Circuit Design
Unison Research® has completely redesigned the amplifier architecture, remaining faithful to the philosophy of zero global feedback and to a dual-mono topology, long regarded as synonymous with naturalness and musicality.
The new three-stage structure has been developed to deliver a more balanced, dynamic and engaging sound.
The first stage, based on a pair of ECC83 / 12AX7 Gold Lion valves, defines the amplifier’s sonic character, providing outstanding signal purity, extremely low distortion and exceptionally quiet operation.
The subsequent solid-state stages operate in perfect synergy with the valve section, ensuring a fluid, precise and consistently musical reproduction, even under demanding listening conditions.

Connectivity
Unico PRE v2 has been designed to offer maximum versatility. It features RCA, XLR, digital and a phono inputs, allowing easy integration into any audio system, from traditional to advanced configurations.
In addition to the XLR output, there are two RCA outputs dedicated to bi-amping, an unfiltered subwoofer output, and Line In / Line Out connections, ideal for integrating external audio processors or recording systems. The unit also includes a 3.5-mm trigger output for synchronized power-on of power amplifiers and other connected devices, simplifying daily system operation.

DAC Section
The integrated DAC, based on the Sabre ES9018K2M converter, is the result of a long and meticulous development process. The balanced output architecture has been designed to integrate perfectly with the valve circuitry of the preamplifier, ensuring high-quality digital conversion and tonal coherence.
The digital section offers extensive connectivity, including one USB input, two S/PDIF inputs, and two optical Toslink inputs, making it easy to connect all major digital sources.

Phono Stage
The integrated phono stage features passive RIAA equalization and high-precision components, preserving the quality and naturalness of the analog signal.

Zoals alle toestellen worden de Hyperion P1 en Virtus M1 door Canor Audio zelf ontwikkeld en geproduceerd. De Hyperion P1 is een klasse A voorversterker met een minimale hoeveelheid negatieve terugkoppeling. Hij heeft een symmetrische precisie volumeregeling, die zich in een aluminium behuizing met een wanddikte van tien millimeter bevindt. Deze constructie biedt volgens de ontwerpers een perfecte afscherming tegen HF-straling en trillingen, vanwege de hoge massa. Zowel de volumeregeling als de printplaten zijn geinstalleerd op trillingsdempende pads, hetgeen helpt om trillingen te elimineren. Het analoge gedeelte is gescheiden van de voeding door een stevige, tien millimeter dikke aluminium wand om interferentie te elimineren.

Het kloppende hart van de Frankie hybride voorversterker, de lijnversterker, bestaat uit een 4x 6DJ8 dubbele triode geconfigureerd als een SRPP gebalanceerd circuit met een actief gecascadeerd mosfet current sink.
Het circuit, met nul gemiddelde terugkoppeling, profiteert van 4 afzonderlijke en geregelde voedingen met discrete componenten.

De volumeregelaar is wederom de "gouden trap", de verzwakker die ze zelf hebben ontwikkeld en die in al hun producten wordt gebruikt.
Deze verzwakker, die bestaat uit vaste weerstanden die worden geschakeld door relais, heeft een precisie en kwaliteit die superieur is aan gewone analoge of digitale potmeters.
In de Frankie hybride voorversterker werkt deze verzwakker in "shunt mode".

De phono-ingang is een solid-state schakeling die geschikt is voor zowel MM- als MC-cartridges en beschikt over een discrete FET-ingang met ultralage ruis, een volledig passief RIAA-netwerk en een gebalanceerde uitgang.

The volume control is once again our “golden stairway”, the attenuator developed in house and used in all our products.
This attenuator, made up of fixed resistors switched by relays, has a precision and quality superior to common analogue or digital potentiometers.
In Frankie hybrid preamplifier, this attenuator works in “shunt mode”.

Phono input is a solid state circuit suitable for both MM and MC cartridges, it benefits from an ultra-low noise discrete FET input, a fully passive RIAA network and a balanced output.

The dip switches on the rear panel offer a wide range of capacitance and resistance adjustments for the cartridge interface.
Obviously the phono board has its own dedicated power supply.

De circuits van de Musicbook SOURCE II zijn ontworpen rondom het hoogwaardige streamingplatform en verfijnd voor een optimale geluidskwaliteit.

In de digitaal-analoog converter van de Musicbook SOURCE gebruiken we een van de best klinkende converterelementen aller tijden, de AK4493 van de Japanse digitale specialist AKM. Deze converter blinkt metrologisch uit door extreem lage vervormingscijfers en muzikaal door natuurlijke klankkleuren, een perfecte timing en een totaal ontspannen tempo. De converterblokken werken in mono mode, d.w.z. elk kanaal heeft zijn eigen D/A converter. Maar er is meer! Voorafgaand aan de eigenlijke conversie worden alle digitale ingangssignalen onderworpen aan een ultraprecieze hersampling door middel van een MEMS femto-clock. De aldus gegenereerde gegevens zijn absoluut jittervrij: de basisvoorwaarde voor perfect geluid met digitale muziek! Een extra verbetering biedt de mogelijkheid om alle gegevens om te zetten in een 1-bit signaal (DSD).

Vanuit muzikaal oogpunt is deze modus de kers op de taart en opent een totaal nieuwe geluidsdimensie op het gebied van ruimtebeeld en weergave van hoge frequenties.

De analoge voorversterker van de SOURCE II maakt gebruik van een puur analoge volumeniveauregeling. Analoge bronnen worden verwerkt in het analoge domein. De ingebouwde phono MM-voorversterker biedt een uitzonderlijk muzikale weergave en is qua constructie identiek aan de zeer gewaardeerde Limetree Phono. De hoofdtelefoonversterker van de Musicbook brengt je ook geluid op zijn best en heeft ruim voldoende uitgangsvermogen, zelfs voor veeleisende hoofdtelefoons.

De voeding van de Musicbook zet nieuwe maatstaven voor een storings- en ruisvrije prestatie. Alle functionele gebieden zijn uitgerust met eigen, ultra low-noise spanningsregelaars met minder dan 10 microvolt ruisspanning. Hierdoor kan wederzijdse beinvloeding tussen de afzonderlijke elementen van de Musicbook worden uitgesloten.

The circuitry of the Musicbook SOURCE II has been designed around the high-performance streaming platform and fine-tuned for optimum sound quality.

In the digital-analog converter of the Musicbook SOURCE we use one of the best-sounding converter elements of all times, the AK4493 from the Japanese digital specialist AKM. This converter excels metrologically by extremely low distortion figures and musically by natural timbres, a perfect timing and a totally relaxed pace. The converter blocks are run in mono mode, i.e. each channel has its own D/A converter. But there is more! Prior to the actual conversion, all digital input signals are submitted to an ultra-precise re-sampling by means of an MEMS femto-clock. The thus generated data are absolutely jitter-free: the basic prerequisite for perfect sound with digital music! An additional improvement offers the possibility to convert all data into a 1-bit signal (DSD).

From a musical point of view, this mode of operation is the icing on the cake and opens up a totally new sound dimension in terms of room imaging and high-frequency reproduction.

The analog preamp of the SOURCE II uses a purely analog volume level control. Analog sources are processed on the analog domain. The built-in phono MM preamp offers an exceptionally musical reproduction and is identical in construction to the highly appreciated Limetree Phono. The headphone amplifier of the Musicbook also brings you sound at its finest and has plenty of output power even for demanding headphones.

The power supply of the Musicbook sets new benchmarks for an interference- and noise-free performance. All functional areas are equipped with proprietary, ultra low-noise voltage regulators with less than 10 microvolt of noise voltage. Therefore a mutual influence between the Musicbook’s individual elements can be ruled out.

Circuitontwerp

Aansluitmogelijkheden

Circuit Design
Unison Research® has completely redesigned the amplifier architecture, remaining faithful to the philosophy of zero global feedback and to a dual-mono topology, long regarded as synonymous with naturalness and musicality.
The new three-stage structure has been developed to deliver a more balanced, dynamic and engaging sound.
The first stage, based on a pair of ECC83 / 12AX7 Gold Lion valves, defines the amplifier’s sonic character, providing outstanding signal purity, extremely low distortion and exceptionally quiet operation.
The subsequent solid-state stages operate in perfect synergy with the valve section, ensuring a fluid, precise and consistently musical reproduction, even under demanding listening conditions.

Connectivity
Unico PRE v2 has been designed to offer maximum versatility. It features RCA, XLR, digital and a phono inputs, allowing easy integration into any audio system, from traditional to advanced configurations.
In addition to the XLR output, there are two RCA outputs dedicated to bi-amping, an unfiltered subwoofer output, and Line In / Line Out connections, ideal for integrating external audio processors or recording systems. The unit also includes a 3.5-mm trigger output for synchronized power-on of power amplifiers and other connected devices, simplifying daily system operation.

DAC Section
The integrated DAC, based on the Sabre ES9018K2M converter, is the result of a long and meticulous development process. Zoals alle toestellen worden de Hyperion P1 en Virtus M1 door Canor Audio zelf ontwikkeld en geproduceerd. Het kloppende hart van de Frankie hybride voorversterker, de lijnversterker, bestaat uit een 4x 6DJ8 dubbele triode geconfigureerd als een SRPP gebalanceerd circuit met een actief gecascadeerd mosfet current sink.
Het circuit, met nul gemiddelde terugkoppeling, profiteert van 4 afzonderlijke en geregelde voedingen met discrete componenten.

De volumeregelaar is wederom de "gouden trap", de verzwakker die ze zelf hebben ontwikkeld en die in al hun producten wordt gebruikt.
Deze verzwakker, die bestaat uit vaste weerstanden die worden geschakeld door relais, heeft een precisie en kwaliteit die superieur is aan gewone analoge of digitale potmeters.
In de Frankie hybride voorversterker werkt deze verzwakker in "shunt mode".

De phono-ingang is een solid-state schakeling die geschikt is voor zowel MM- als MC-cartridges en beschikt over een discrete FET-ingang met ultralage ruis, een volledig passief RIAA-netwerk en een gebalanceerde uitgang.

De dipswitches op het achterpaneel bieden een breed scala aan capaciteits- en weerstandsinstellingen voor de cartridge-interface.
Uiteraard heeft de phonokaart een eigen voeding.

De voorversterker kan tegelijkertijd worden bediend via iOS & Android App of via infrarood afstandsbediening.

The beating heart of Frankie hybrid preamplifier, the line amplifier, consists of a 4x 6DJ8 double triode configured as a SRPP balanced circuitry with an active cascoded mosfet current sink.
The circuit, with zero averall feedback, benefits of 4 separate and regulated power supplies with discrete components.

The volume control is once again our “golden stairway”, the attenuator developed in house and used in all our products.
This attenuator, made up of fixed resistors switched by relays, has a precision and quality superior to common analogue or digital potentiometers.
In Frankie hybrid preamplifier, this attenuator works in “shunt mode”.

Phono input is a solid state circuit suitable for both MM and MC cartridges, it benefits from an ultra-low noise discrete FET input, a fully passive RIAA network and a balanced output.

The dip switches on the rear panel offer a wide range of capacitance and resistance adjustments for the cartridge interface.
Obviously the phono board has its own dedicated power supply.

The preamplifier can be controlled both via iOS & Android App or via infrared remote control at the same time.

De circuits van de Musicbook SOURCE II zijn ontworpen rondom het hoogwaardige streamingplatform en verfijnd voor een optimale geluidskwaliteit.

In de digitaal-analoog converter van de Musicbook SOURCE gebruiken we een van de best klinkende converterelementen aller tijden, de AK4493 van de Japanse digitale specialist AKM. Deze converter blinkt metrologisch uit door extreem lage vervormingscijfers en muzikaal door natuurlijke klankkleuren, een perfecte timing en een totaal ontspannen tempo. De converterblokken werken in mono mode, d.w.z. elk kanaal heeft zijn eigen D/A converter. Maar er is meer! Voorafgaand aan de eigenlijke conversie worden alle digitale ingangssignalen onderworpen aan een ultraprecieze hersampling door middel van een MEMS femto-clock. De aldus gegenereerde gegevens zijn absoluut jittervrij: de basisvoorwaarde voor perfect geluid met digitale muziek! Een extra verbetering biedt de mogelijkheid om alle gegevens om te zetten in een 1-bit signaal (DSD).

Vanuit muzikaal oogpunt is deze modus de kers op de taart en opent een totaal nieuwe geluidsdimensie op het gebied van ruimtebeeld en weergave van hoge frequenties.

De analoge voorversterker van de SOURCE II maakt gebruik van een puur analoge volumeniveauregeling. Analoge bronnen worden verwerkt in het analoge domein. De ingebouwde phono MM-voorversterker biedt een uitzonderlijk muzikale weergave en is qua constructie identiek aan de zeer gewaardeerde Limetree Phono. De hoofdtelefoonversterker van de Musicbook brengt je ook geluid op zijn best en heeft ruim voldoende uitgangsvermogen, zelfs voor veeleisende hoofdtelefoons.

De voeding van de Musicbook zet nieuwe maatstaven voor een storings- en ruisvrije prestatie. The circuitry of the Musicbook SOURCE II has been designed around the high-performance streaming platform and fine-tuned for optimum sound quality.

In the digital-analog converter of the Musicbook SOURCE we use one of the best-sounding converter elements of all times, the AK4493 from the Japanese digital specialist AKM. This converter excels metrologically by extremely low distortion figures and musically by natural timbres, a perfect timing and a totally relaxed pace. The converter blocks are run in mono mode, i.e. each channel has its own D/A converter. But there is more! Prior to the actual conversion, all digital input signals are submitted to an ultra-precise re-sampling by means of an MEMS femto-clock. The thus generated data are absolutely jitter-free: the basic prerequisite for perfect sound with digital music! An additional improvement offers the possibility to convert all data into a 1-bit signal (DSD).

From a musical point of view, this mode of operation is the icing on the cake and opens up a totally new sound dimension in terms of room imaging and high-frequency reproduction.

The analog preamp of the SOURCE II uses a purely analog volume level control. Analog sources are processed on the analog domain. The built-in phono MM preamp offers an exceptionally musical reproduction and is identical in construction to the highly appreciated Limetree Phono. The headphone amplifier of the Musicbook also brings you sound at its finest and has plenty of output power even for demanding headphones.

The power supply of the Musicbook sets new benchmarks for an interference- and noise-free performance. All functional areas are equipped with proprietary, ultra low-noise voltage regulators with less than 10 microvolt of noise voltage. Therefore a mutual influence between the Musicbook’s individual elements can be ruled out.

Circuitontwerp

Aansluitmogelijkheden
Unico PRE v2 is ontworpen voor maximale veelzijdigheid. Hij beschikt over RCA-, XLR-, digitale en een phono-ingang, waardoor eenvoudige integratie in elk audiosysteem mogelijk is, van traditionele tot geavanceerde configuraties.

Naast de XLR-uitgang zijn er twee RCA-uitgangen voor bi-amping, een ongefilterde subwooferuitgang en Line In/Line Out-aansluitingen, ideaal voor het integreren van externe audioprocessors of opnamesystemen. DAC-sectie

Circuit Design
Unison Research® has completely redesigned the amplifier architecture, remaining faithful to the philosophy of zero global feedback and to a dual-mono topology, long regarded as synonymous with naturalness and musicality.
The new three-stage structure has been developed to deliver a more balanced, dynamic and engaging sound.
The first stage, based on a pair of ECC83 / 12AX7 Gold Lion valves, defines the amplifier’s sonic character, providing outstanding signal purity, extremely low distortion and exceptionally quiet operation.
The subsequent solid-state stages operate in perfect synergy with the valve section, ensuring a fluid, precise and consistently musical reproduction, even under demanding listening conditions.

Unico PRE v2 has been designed to offer maximum versatility. It features RCA, XLR, digital and a phono inputs, allowing easy integration into any audio system, from traditional to advanced configurations.
In addition to the XLR output, there are two RCA outputs dedicated to bi-amping, an unfiltered subwoofer output, and Line In / Line Out connections, ideal for integrating external audio processors or recording systems. The unit also includes a 3.5-mm trigger output for synchronized power-on of power amplifiers and other connected devices, simplifying daily system operation.

DAC Section
The integrated DAC, based on the Sabre ES9018K2M converter, is the result of a long and meticulous development process. The balanced output architecture has been designed to integrate perfectly with the valve circuitry of the preamplifier, ensuring high-quality digital conversion and tonal coherence.
The digital section offers extensive connectivity, including one USB input, two S/PDIF inputs, and two optical Toslink inputs, making it easy to connect all major digital sources.

Phono Stage
The integrated phono stage features passive RIAA equalization and high-precision components, preserving the quality and naturalness of the analog signal.
Selectable load and gain settings allow the use of both MM and MC cartridges, enabling optimal matching with different cartridge types and ensuring the best possible sonic performance. All adjustments are easily accessible from the rear panel, providing maximum configuration flexibility.
